			<description>Palin stops in Michigan, Granholm pushes to keep Promise Grant, race for Michigan's next governor continues.  The guest is Charles Pugh, president-elect of the Detroit City Council.

Charles Pugh is the President-Elect of the Detroit City Council, having received the most votes in the recent election. He is a former weekend anchor for FOX2 in Detroit and prior to that he covered the news in Kansas, Fort Wayne and Norfolk, Virginia. He holds a degree from the University of Missouri and was born in Detroit.

			<description>The schools lobby comes to Lansing, and Gov. Granholm and Sen. Bishop are at a stand-off. The guest is Bill Mayes of the Michigan Association of School Administrators.

William Mayes is the executive director of the Michigan Association of School Administrators, composed of school superintendents around the state.  He was a government teacher, counselor and for twelve years he was the Huron ISD director in Bad Axe.

			<description>The GOP gains a Senate seat; updates on per-pupil funding cut and the fate of 55 state troopers. The guest is Appropriations Chair Rep. George Cushingberry. 

Detroit Democrat George Cushingberry chairs the House Appropriations Committee. He served in the House once before and has his eye on running for the Senate next year. Cushingberry is working to find new revenue to restore some of the $1.2 billion in cuts recently enacted by the House and Senate.

			<description>Physician tax appears to be dead, the governor pushes revenue for schools plan and has her veto pen in hand, and the extension to balance the state budget is ready to expire. The guest is Bob Emerson, state budget director.

State Budget Director Bob Emerson served over twenty years in the Michigan House and Senate, where he was minority leader, before joining the Granholm administration as her top budget advisor.  Emerson sponsored the income tax increase measure that spawned the recall of two state senators, and now he is on the front lines battling with the 
governor to raise new revenue to restore some of the $1.2 billion in cuts adopted by the legislature.

Kalamazoo Senator Tom George has been on the campaign trial for months pursuing his bid for the GOP nomination for governor.. He is finishing his second term in the 
Michigan Senate, where he chairs the Health Policy Committee and sits on the Senate Appropriations Panel.  George served two years in the House before joining the state Senate.

Trial attorney Geoffrey Fieger gained national prominence when he defended Jack Kevorian. Since then, Fieger, a Democrat,  has run unsuccessfully for governor, fought off federal charges over campaign contributions and has become the subject of a documentary.

			<description>The government shutdown is temporary, lawmakers adopt new budgets, and the governor is dusting off her veto pen.  The guest is Jessica Cooper, on the governors' prison release program.

Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper served on various courts for 28 years, including a seven-year term on the Michigan Appeals Court.  Cooper was the first woman to become a judge in Southfield in 1978 and was the judge in the Jack Kevorkian case. She is currently embroiled in a  dispute with the granholm administration over the release of prison inmates to reduce state prison costs.
